The Nobles of Medji Temple No. 45 and Daughters of Medji Court No. 38 joined forces with the Honorary Past Imperial Commandress and renowned advocate of Juneteenth, Dt. Opal Lee, to commemorate the first anniversary of Juneteenth holiday legislation in an extraordinary event called "Opal's Walk for Freedom" and "I AM Juneteenth Festival." Throughout the occasion, the dedicated Nobles and Daughters took on various roles, including media relations, VIP check-in, distributing t-shirts to attendees, event setup and breakdown, registration assistance, hospitality, overseeing barricades during the walk, serving as VIP hostesses, and organizing the book signing table and display.
